Brasserie on 3

2:32 AM Unknown 0 Comments

My sister is in town for work duties and we didn't waste the opportunity to spend the week with her. Before she fly back to Singapore, we had our dinner at Brasserie on 3 with our lovely parentals and our dearest mama chie (aunt).

Brasserie on 3 is located at Conrad Manila. It's a buffet restaurant which caters mainly to the hotel guests. They offer lots of food variety like asian, western & italian foods. My favorite station was the Mongolian where you'll be able choose from bean sprouts to meats and the level of spiciness you want. It's a very calm and chill place to have a fine dining experience. I suggest that you visit Brasserie on 3 at lunch time to enjoy the spectacular noon view of Manila Bay.

One thing I love about this Restaurant, all the food is freshly made for the day. You can even request for them to mix the salad you choose from the table.

Laiya, Batangas

10:28 PM Unknown 0 Comments

I'm pleased to introduce my Highschool friends with you! This trip was never planned.
So spontaneous that, they've picked me up at my house, told me that we will be picking up another friend to the airport then we will go straight to Batangas. How cool is that?!

Left to Right - Me, Marga, Jer, Michael, Reggy, Edward

We travelled from manila to batangas around 12am and having stop overs along gasoline stations just to kill time since the resorts we're planning to visit are still closed or either fully booked. It's timing that weekend was a long holiday so we're not expecting any available rooms to stay in. Around 4am we arrived at Laiya Batangas, which is the destination we are really looking forward to go to. Unfortunately, all the resorts are closed. So we don't have a choice to stay at the car and spend the rest of the hours on the road.

Kota Keleruega

While waiting for the time to pass, we shared a lot of odd things from ghosts stories to superstitions. It's a helluva long time until the resorts open and we visited the lists of the resorts we made. After checking out the places, most of us badly need something to eat. Everyone decided to eat at the local eatery to experience the legit food of Batangas which is Lomi. We are not disappointed by it's quality and price. For a good amount of bowl that can be shared by two/there only costs Php 60. How satisfying was that?!

The Famous Lomi

After having our brunch, we went back and look for a place to stay for a while before heading home. We found a perfect place to stay and have a good nap and finally, swimming!! Even though we didn't have a chance to enjoy the beach because all the resorts were fully booked, we had a chance to try out this pool. Not so crowded and good place to stay.

I enjoyed this trip so much. I'm not gonna have it in any other way but with them.

Cheers to unexpected trip!

Belo SunExpert Review

12:00 PM Unknown 0 Comments

Talking about taking care of our skin, sun screen is the best essential you have to grab everyday. Since summer has started, you better get yourself a good one. When I was a kid, my mom usually gives us this one sticky lotion to apply before diving in. As soon as I knew about different types of sunblock, I didn't stop to look for those aren't sticky ones.

I'm into skincare products lately and that gives me more reasons to not miss getting myself something to protect my skin from the sun this summer. While I'm searching for the products to try on, I saw this Belo Sun Expert in Watsons and luckily it has a package where you'll get a discount. So why not? They have Transparent Mist (SPF 50), Hair and Scalp Shield, and After Sun Gel. It's perfect for a summer ready care package.

The Transparent Mist smells good and it's not sticky at all which is a plus for me. It somehow gives me a glow for a radiant looking skin. I've tried applying it before going into the beach and to the pool and ~tadaah!!~ it really works for my skin! It doesn't make my skin dry and after swimming, I can still feel that my skin has it's moisture from the product.

Never tried any brand of Hair and Scalp Shield. It's my first time to use some thing like this. It has this oil ingredient that makes my hair lessen the frizziness brought by sun exposure and humidity. I recommend using this when you're about to hit the salt water. Because I observed salt water makes my hair more sticky than the pool.

Lastly, the After Sun Gel. It's basically a lotion that will soothes the skin after the sun exposure. It also claims that it hydrates your skin which I did to mine. This product can use on your face and body.

My overall thoughts about these products are good. It smells good and not sticky at all, very convenient to bring wherever you go and the packaging are zeee bomb! Hoping this review is informative to you.

The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara Review

7:56 PM Unknown 0 Comments

I've heard a lot of good stuffs about this mascara, both locally and internationally. So when I saw it in one of Maybelline shops, I didn't hesitate to get it since it's also on sale for Php 100 off!
Regular Price : Php 495

I got it for : Php 395

The packaging tricked me! I thought it's dual brush kind of thing. But nahh, the only thing you can take off is the red one - the shorter cap. It's in regular plastic tube like the usual Maybelline mascaras but in different look.
The brush has a short bristles and definitely no fibers.

First coat doesn't give the volume look at all and some of my lashes are clumping.
I fixed the clumping by brushing it with a clean mascara want or brush.
I suggest not to put the Maybelline mascara close to your lashes to avoid clumping. I then add the second coat of the mascara. Tadaaa! Now, I can see the "push up drama" on my lashes!

Let's talk about lower lashes; I am not gifted at all. That's why I tried applying it and so far it did a good job unlike the Rocket Mascara by Maybelline.

No Curl & Coat

Curled

1st coat

2nd coat

Overall thoughts about this mascara:
1 Lowest - 10 Highest

Lengthening - 7
Volumizing - 7
Stays in place - 9
Applied in lower lashes - 9

It's not bad mascara at all! I love using it for everyday and if I don't wanna feel heavy on my eyes.

For removal, you can use regular makeup remover since it's not waterproof.

Strolling Tale

1:09 PM Unknown 0 Comments

Hey there! I created this blog to share about my interests. I'm an introvert person but once you get to know me, I bet you'd get tired of my weirdness. A person who's interested in a lot of things isn't that easy. Sometimes you find yourself stuck in one place thinking about what else is out there to try on. So here are all my interests and a bit of why I like them.

FOOD
Since I was a kid, eating is my number one hobby. As you can see, physically! I even kept a bottle of coke inside our bathroom because I cannot drink one every weekday. My parents can't stop laughing because of my uncontrollable hunger. Yes I am hungry every minute of the day. I can't even remember how many rice I can eat just for breakfast. As time goes by and learning all about the food facts and nutritional information I didn't know before, I slowly changed my eating habit not too long ago. I just started late last year when I had my short course in pastry where nutrition class is vital in their curriculum. It’s a knock on my door to all the foods I've been eating my whole life. Only if I can be vegan, but so far I cannot (Maybe soon?) but to no offense to those who are. I started to lessen processed and oily foods to my diet. I also tried Pescetarian diet for 2 weeks and I'm proud that I lost about 8KG. It's hard for me to maintain that since I have a pastry business as well. Now I'm just enjoying what I eat in moderation.

MAKEUP
I am vain. That's how I can start my story about makeup. Who isn’t? I can watch tutorials and reviews about makeup all day. My craziness about makeup began when I first watched Ingrid Nilsen getting ready for Holiday Makeup. It was December 24 and I'm getting ready for Christmas Eve. I entered "holiday makeup" on Youtube and Ingrid has the cutest look from the results so I clicked and watched her video. I also followed a lot of Beauty gurus like Michelle Phan, Zoella Sugg, Tanya Burr and a lot more. Since then, I can't stop asking my family to get me make up stuff since I'm still studying and doesn't have enough money to buy those. Luckily I got enough makeup to play with and that's where my craziness started. Now, I do freelance makeup and uploading online tutorials.

PLACES
My family loves to travel, mostly on our province in Ilocos. We used to go there every vacation and explore different tourist spots around. Ilocos is a province in northern part of the Philippines. You can see tons of mangos, stacks of garlic, various types of bagnet (pork belly) and rice cakes. Travelling to different countries are also our favorite, we also visit our relatives around the world. We mostly go to Singapore and Hongkong mainly because it's just 2-4 hrs of travel and a lot of good deals in terms of shopping! I love travelling because I also get to know their culture and get to try their food! I believe travelling makes you aware of what is around you and how to take care of it.
